Q. Can I make my own prints?
A. No.  Back to Top

Q. Why not?
A. In addition to the 1000's of hours we spend each year, shooting in under all types of conditions and in all types of places, we also invest 1000's and 1000's of dollars each year in equipment and archival systems, in order to be able to capture, process, and maintain these incredible images. Each time someone steals a photo to make their own print, or uses a photo without permission, they are diminishing our ability to produce and preserve this photographic legacy. We truly appreciate your support and understanding.  Back to Top

Q. Can I get a copy of the digital file?
A. We don't mean to inconvenience anyone, but we are unable to distribute print-quality digital images. However, since we keep the images on-line indefinitely, you can share the link for any image page as much as you want. (And, if you ask, we can probably send you a low-res copy.)  Back to Top

Q. What size prints can I get?
A. Our images can be printed any size, from 5x7 to 20x30 (and larger!).  Back to Top

Q. Why can't I get a 4x6?
A. If you really feel you must have a 4x6, we'll try to accomodate you. The thing is, most of our images are so rich in detail that they are best seen as 11x14s. We feel that anything below a 5x7 really compromises the image quality.  Back to Top

Q. Do you have anything besides prints?

A. In our digital darkroom, we can do almost anything. Click here for more options.  Back to Top

A. The absolute highest! We do not publish any images that would not meet the most stringent photo editor's requirements. Keep in mind, the images in the gallery are optimized for internet viewing, and are not necessarily representative of the high-quality image that will be printed for you. All of our prints are hand-edited to insure the best print possible.

Note: If you order an image, and we determine that it is not of sufficient quality, we will let you know ASAP. We would rather you cancel an order than receive something that would fail to meet your expectactions.  Back to Top
